Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg is an academic dean at the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies and the Israel Bible Center. He holds an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary (2000), an M.Phil. in Bible Interpretation (2007) and a Ph.D. in Ancient Studies from Stellenbosch University (2011). His doctoral research included studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Leiden University. He published numerous books and articles. His work includes a monograph in the prestigious Corpus Scriptorum Christianorum Orientalium. He co-founded a peer-reviewed Journal of the Jesus Movement in Its Jewish Setting. He is fluent in English, Hebrew, and Russian and loves dogs and cats and the Pirates of the Caribbean and Seinfeld series. Live with it!
